Our guitar gym sessions can be thought of very much like real gym sessions. In a real gym sesh, you have a workout and a structure you follow that tackles the muscle groups you need to develop to achieve your goals.
We can very much relate this to the guitar gym! We need to build the specific muscles we need to work towards our goals. Those muscles are both physical and mental, with the physicality being working on the finger strength, and the mental aspect being the muscle memory you need to find your way around the fretboard easily.
Without these guitar gym sessions, it will be very hard and very slow to develop the technique and speed you will inevitably need to reach your guitar playing goals. It really doesn't matter what the goal is, to be honest, there is always room for a bit of guitar gym!
